Through our initial friendship..
The beginnings of our relationships..
Some 'bumps in the road'..
Struggling through injuries..
Enjoying the adventure of finding ourselves..
Supporting each other decisions..
Sharing our love with great intensity..

Huffy Puffy.. It's not what you think..
Huffy Puffy Huffington Post had a great article that was re-posted on Marblehead YMCA's website.. and now i will be re=posting here..
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/10/01/5-ways-to-keep-up-your-workout-motivation_n_988515.html?ref=fitness#s381370&title=Prep_Your_Stuff
The post recommends ways to keep you accountable when starting a new workout regiem.. I have been trying to "start" this for almost two months now.. and no, I haven't seen much progress. Instead, I have just been getting more and more disappointed in myself by the day... guidances and suggestions welcome..

"Each night, set out (or pack) both your workout clothes and any gear you need for the next day's workout, then set them somewhere you'll see them when you first wake up"
GENIUS!!!
AND.. mapping/scheduling workouts..
"Let's be realistic: If your life is anywhere as busy as mine (and I bet it is), exercise just isn't going to happen unless you map out time for it. I plan my workouts on Sunday evenings for the coming week. Here's the key: I always try to schedule an extra session so I if I do end up canceling one last-minute, I'm covered"
My days tend to be as busy as ever when school is in session. If I don't schedule a workout, then it most likely doesn't happen. I hope to be more accountable and to schedule my workouts weekly. my hope is that that I feel more accomplished by the end of the day/week.
Until tomorrow..

FIT it in the schedule.. :)
Sooooo it's been a while..
I've been trying to incorporate more fitness into my life.
This means less "butt on the couch" and more "let's boogie oogie oogie 'til we just can't boogie no more"..
I've been welcomed into a new world of fitness. I've tansformed my Turbe Jam workouts into Turbo Fire workouts... and I hope this eventually turns into more trips to the gym.. and excited outlook.. and better comfort in the active lifestyle that I strive for..
Most importantly... i'm marrying the man of my dreams in AUGUST!!! WOOO HOOO!!! :)
And I look forward to the journey that we will share together as a married couple.. :)

Health is a Blessing.. Day 3!
doDay 3..
"Health is a Blessing. Who would argue that? To have good health is one of the joys of life. When we are healthy, we are better able to serve our fellowman and do the Lord's work." - S.Horne.
Bless that I have the strength in myself to feel happy in my own skin.
I trulybelieve in blessings and that God is always watching over and testing our strengths. Whether it be physical or emotional, strength serves its purpose in survival, living a healthy lifestyle, and helps the muscles in our mind and body grow.
Today I am growing, most in mind.
I am learning more about who I am and who i'd like to be.
I have recently had a run-in with, (no, not forrest gump.. although, yes.. He was "runnin'..")..
with an emotional and erruption of the mind.... close to me and my heart.
I know I must be strong in helping, by being supportive, not taking on others 'problems'.
The errupting lava of this life's volcano has paved over the past and made new roads to travel upon.
The volcano still continues to bubble and boil.
The volcano still holds in the heat of an impending argument.
May the lord be with this precious volcano and may errupt in subtle peace.
And with its peace... strength, concentration, and focus..
Bless and be blessed, by default..
And now.. for today's F&E portion:
Today's (FOOD) meals: fruit cup, banana (90), yogurt (100), 8oz coffee with cream (60), pb chip granola bar (100), ...
Today's (EXERCISE) training sesh': ...
Love, JB.

Day 2: Work Out Plan.. According to "Kanye Banville"
One and..
Two and..
Three and..
Four and..
Get them sit-ups right and..
Tuck yo' tummy tight and..
Do your crunches like this..
Kanye's tune can be a motivator sure, but what are we raelly here to talk about...... FITNESS!!
Anyways.. Day 2..
Day 2 was fab-ish..
I stayed right around 1600 calories for the day, and continued the turbo jam exercise.
Tuesday's disc was "Fat Blaster".. A shorter workout time-wise, but the intervals in turbo speeds definitely kicked me into high gear. I've been having a bit of pain up through my hamstring and lower back, but the exercise seems to be helping. After battling a knee injury that for sure knocked me off my rocker, it's those little pains that help push me through. Just behing able to walk, jog, kick, and punch... Jumping around with some kind of intensity and not sitting on the couch with a swollen joint. The ability to be alive keeps me going... and going... and going.. like that carzy energizer bunny!
Pre-Turbo Jam workout included 5 solid minutes on the balance board and some shake weight action. Post-Turbo was crunches on the foam roller and lite yoga on the mat.
The workouts make me HUNGRY! Which worries me whether or not my intake of calories is sufficient for the day. But at the very least, it helps me eat a full dinner.
The breakfasts have been going well (so far).. I am actually eating somethign for breakfast rather than starving myself until 11 o'clock. And i've been trying my best to work some bettwe healthy choices into my daily lunches.
Today's eats: yogurt (100 cal.), banana (90 cal.), pb chip chewy granola bar (100 cal.), 8oz coffee w. cream (50 cal.), .5 cheesesteak sub with tomatoes (360 cal.), 6oz cola (65 cal.), slimfast shake (100 cal), 1 cup white rice (240 cal.), 1 chicken wing (160 cal.), 2 beef teriyaki sticks (200 cal.) mixed cocktail (~120 cal.), fudgicle (60 cal.) = Totaling roughly 1645.
However, with the merge of exercise and calories burned through exercise, I end up being closer to a total of roughly 1400 calories for the day. (assuming all of my calories eaten and calories burned calculations are correct).. I'm new at this.. and i'm trying.
I also got a call from my sister Tuesday afternoon, recommening herself as my sponsor.. someone to help keep me in check, especially on days where I am feeling a little less motivated to work out.. or "really feel like baking a plate of cookies".. (and then of course, eating them)..
Whelp.. here goes nothin'.. onto "Day 3"!

368 days.. 45lbs.
Today is a day to be inspired.
A day to decide.
A day to..
- create an exercise plan..
A day to..
- start a food journal..
A day to..
- feel the way I want to and be happy in my own skin..
A day to..
- feel good about myself..
A day to..
- take responsibility for how I feel..
If I don't start taking responsibility.. I won't be happy.
I will lose myself in life's chaos..
I will lose myself to the stressors around me..
I will lose myself to the neglect of myself..
And I don't like to lose!
Today marks the beginning of my "health in my 20s".. (my elder 20s)..

Today's weight: Too Much to take myself seriously..
Goal: Lose 45 lbs in 368 days (& look absolutely beautiful on my wedding day).. :)

Let the sun shine upon your face..
Give Your Heart.. Bless Your Soul..
give a piece of your heart..
and it will travel on a journey..
give your whole heart..
and bless that it has wings to fly..
trust your heart..
and your soul will be forsaken..
break your heart..
and it may never be full again..
love.
with your heart.
forever.
lord bless me to forgive and understand.

annnnnnnnnnnd.. i'm back.
beginning all over again..
I never like "forgetting" I have a blog, but when you're life gets crazy.. and you're trying not to sit in front of your computer 24/7.. and you join social groups.. and sports leagues.. and the snow mountains open for the season.. and you're hittin' the slopes.. and rippin' it up on the soccer field.. and then.. one ridiculous evening.. late at night.. Pats are on MNF, almost decided not to go to the soccer game.. you figure, "what the heck.. let's just go out and have a good time on the field".. and you're up by 10 goals.. and jokin' around.. having a good time.. and then.. the soccer field trips you up.. and then you tear your ACL.. spend most of the night in the hospital.. (back in early December).. and then realize it's mid-March.. and you still can't walk...... or snowboard..... or play soccer....... and you end up pawing through a few emails to clean out your inbox.. and BOOM. blog. duh.
Anyways, i'm back. :)

the eye of the mind
keep your sanity
without profanity
head up
eyes forward
thoughts strong
heart full
"be the change you wish to see in the world"
dont be fooled
do good deeds
find a need
make a difference
change the mode of inspiration
via mode of transportation
through the mind
you will find
the right things will take place in due time.

Emerald Bay.
a review of an adventure.
to find a treasure.
the nature
will place
your mind at ease
and
please you
appease you
venture the rocks and the slides against the clock
each moment you're out there
you don't count the strokes
and the minute hands are jokes
because you are just completely stoked
to be where you are
as you stare out at the bay
it's a perfect kind of day.

it's crazy snow. you know.
crazy snow..
in May.. you know..
a willld whirl..
and windy gust..
not sure why
it's an absolute must..
disguised by a secret lust..
a lust in love..
reminding of home..
and what is known..
and now just looking like a light dust..
a zip into town..
just zippin' around..
trip here. trip there..
rollin' upsidedown frowns.
the excitement to get out.
for sure with no doubt.
makes ya wanna flip.
for the chance to dip
out.
ship
out
and cruise.
at a different altitude.

trippin' to townski.
every now and again we get out..
it's an adventure.
every day around here is an adventure..
but nothing like exploring the town..
there isn't really any way to get bored.
there's plenty to look at.
plenty to do.
running around like a crazy lady
is just plain ol' fun sometimes too.
crazy hats. May 4, 2010
